Fees:

Private viola lessons are $35 per half hour lesson, multiplied by the number of weeks in a term. A ten-week term will cost $350.
A contract is signed between the student's family and the private strings tutor, with payment being made directly to the tutor at the beginning of each term.

Terms:

1. Students learning viola are required to either have their own instrument, or hire from school or an external provider e.g. KBB Music.
   
   
2. Students must bring their instrument to school for their lesson each week.
   
   
3. Students who are enrolled in private viola lessons are encouraged to be part of a music group at school. Groups include: Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Combo, Choir, and Jazz/Funk Band.
   
   
4. Students who are enrolled in private viola lessons are encouraged to perform in one of the Itinerant Music Concerts during the year.
   
   
5. Parents will receive an invoice for lessons at the start of each term . Please make payment to the tutor by the due date. 
   Note, some financial assistance for lessons may be available for families who are currently experiencing financial hardship.  To apply, please complete the application form and also register for lessons.
   
   
6. Students (or parent/caregivers) are required to contact the private strings tutor in advance if they cannot attend a lesson. As per the contract, all missed lessons will be charged and no make up lessons will be arranged.
   
   
7. Appropriate school behaviour and school attendance standards are a requirement for a student to participate in extra-curricular activities.

Please only enrol for private viola lessons if you are committed to attending the lessons and practicing regularly in your own time.
