Badminton at School: for Sacred Heart students who wish to learn to play badminton and play for fun. No travel is required as it is run in the school gym. It is open to Juniors only (year 9 and 10). 

Each week sessions involve some fun skills drills, then students play short 5 minute games against different opponents. Run by our senior students, this is a fun skill building session providing some friendly competition. 

All abilities welcome but this option is aimed at beginners. Players who can serve and play a game should register for Badminton Teams and play in the CSW competition (register for this under Badminton Teams). We have competitive and social team options. For social teams we encourage students to form their own teams of 5 or 6 players. If you are not sure where you would like to play, come along to the "Pre-season/Have a go" session on Wednesday 2 April, 3.30pm - 5.30pm.

• Game Day: Tuesdays Term 2 ONLY (school finishes early on a Tuesday)
• Times: 2.45pm to 4.15pm

• Uniform: PE Uniform and sneakers
• Equipment: Badminton racquet (we can loan you one if you don't have one)
• Ability: Novice
• Fee: $25

NOTE: Appropriate school behaviour and attendance standards are a requirement for a student to participate in extra-curricular activities.
