Te Huatai Katorika is a combined kapa haka rōpū that brings together students from Sacred Heart College, St Patrick’s College, and St Bernard’s College. It offers a unique opportunity to explore and embrace your identity or simply express your love for Te Ao Māori.
Our rōpū provides a space to step outside your comfort zone, learn humility, and grow as part of a whānau. We strive to create strong connections and a safe environment where everyone can ground themselves and flourish.
This year, we have many exciting events ahead, including HuttFest and a range of community performances. In the second half of the year, we’ll begin preparations for the regional competition, scheduled for 2027.
We’re fortunate to have an incredible team of leaders, tutors, and kaiako from our three kura, whose experience and passion for haka will guide and inspire us.
The arms of kapa haka are wide open to all students - regardless of ethnicity, knowledge, or skill level.
