About HOCKEY (Term 2 and 3) 2026 $185

Hockey: Hockey is played in Terms 2 and 3. We have 2 teams catering for all abilities from beginner to advanced. We run a combined hockey programme with Chilton St James. We are actively seeking more novice players to grow our hockey programme.
The 1st XI will attend Winter Tournament week during the first week of September, the Mission Cup/Te Toa Tournament over the King's birthday weekend and the St Mary's Sports Exchange on 30th June. We are actively seeking more novice players to grow our hockey programme.
- Game Days: 1st XI - P2 playing on Fridays starting 1 May 2026
- Game Days: 2nd XI - P3 playing on Thursdays starting 7 May 2026
- Training Times: Mondays at Chilton St James turf (between 5 - 7pm; times TBC)
- Game Venue(s): Fraser Park, Maidstone, Elsdon or National Hockey Stadium in Newtown
- Uniform: SHC issued hockey dress, players provide own red socks, shin pads, boots and mouth guards
- Equipment: Players to provide own hockey sticks
- Ability: Novice to experienced players
- Fee: $185
FEE: Students who are selected to the first XI Hockey team will be charged a levy of $45 (over and above the registration fee) to cover the costs of the higher premier grade fees. This will be charged after selection.
Trials: Please note that these trial times and dates are tentative and may change. All students who register will receive confirmation of trial times.

Commitment and Communication
When you join a sports team, you must be fully committed to the team and attend all trainings and games. You are expected to tell your coach/manager if you are unable to attend a session.
