We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our Social Sciences team, commencing Term 2 2026.  Applicants must have the ability to teach senior accounting, commerce, business studies and junior social studies.  Please state other subjects.

The successful applicant will be expected to recognise and respect the school’s Catholic special character and be actively involved in the total life of the school, in a manner which respects the religious instruction given and religious observances practiced within the school.

Uniform Shop Coordinator

Sacred Heart College's Board of Proprietors, Mission Colleges Lower Hutt Trust Board (MCLHTB), is seeking a friendly, organised and reliable person to run the College's onsite Uniform Shop.   This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with students and families, who is comfortable managing stock, and who can work independently.

Starting Term 2, 2026 the position will initially be six (6) hours per week, building up to 10 hours worked to a maximum of 42 weeks each year, as follows:

• Monday & Thursday: 8.00am–10.00am
• Wednesday: 10.00am–4.00pm
• Additional hours in Term 4 for uniform fittings and start‑of-year preparation

Key aspects of the role

• Managing day‑to‑day operations of the Uniform Shop
• Stock handling, inventory management and reordering
• Serving students and whānau
• Coordinating uniform fittings, especially during the busy Term 4 and back‑to‑school period
• Maintaining a welcoming and efficient service.

Sacred Heart College is looking for volunteer reader / writers to help us support students with class related tests and assessments over several days. 

You will need good handwriting, spelling, and communication skills. Typing ability may also be an advantage. Training would be provided.
