Winner of the New Zealand Community Trust – Service to School Sport Award – Victoria Stowers

Victoria has been an outstanding Head of Sport for 2022 and has had a diligent attitude to her role throughout the year.  She has been leader of the Sports Council, and, in addition to the regular staff v student sports tournaments, organised a lunchtime Year 9 Netball Tournament. She has also organised sausage sizzles to help fundraise towards a "Head of Sport" Honours board which will be installed in the gym over the summer break. 

Perhaps Victoria's greatest accomplishment this year was planning, organising, and hosting the inaugural "Hutt School Prefects Tournament", where over 80 students from six schools came together for an afternoon sport tournament. This took a huge amount of initiative and organisation and was well received by everyone who attended.
