Proposed Changes to Hutt Valley Bus and School Bus Routes

Metlink is currently reviewing bus services across the Hutt Valley to ensure the network continues to meet the needs of the community while balancing accessibility, affordability, and efficiency.

At this stage, no decisions have been made, and Metlink is seeking feedback from schools, students, whānau and the wider community before recommendations are developed for Council.

The consultation period is open from 17 August to 6 September 2026, and feedback will help inform any future decisions regarding school transport services.    You can also find more information and submit feedback here: metlink.org.nz/hutt-bus-review. There are several proposed changes, but one that directly impacts Sacred Heart students relates to Route 849.
